CIRQUE DU SOLEIL...

When we arrive in Florida we had no idea what we were going to do.... Sure there's heaps to do but we hadn't made up our minds.. Sure if we had an spare $1250 dollars we would had landed up at Disney World for two days!!!! As it was Florida was more expensive place to drink, shop and eat than Utah!!! As we were looking at the "not very cheap outlets" in the heat we decided to try and book a show that night.. So we rang the hotel (cheaper tickets) to see if we could get some seats to see CIRQUE DU SOLEIL that was showing in "Downtown Disney"...Anyone who has seen one of these productions knows that they are very worth while and always very entertaining... I love all of the performers and there was always something new to look at.. Eden's favourite performers where the four "white guys" they always came out and did something funny.. Even while the other performers were performing..
I would LOVE to see another show soon!!
It was a great start to the holiday....

Goodbye Lloyds!!!

One of my favourite about living in Provo is this family. But when you live in student housing, people come and go all the time.. People move out and new families or married couples move in.. You get to make some great new friendships...

Tomorrow this crazy family are leaving WYMOUNT and are moving to Livermore CAL.....
We have had some great times with them. We had some dinner outside with them tonight and because they are moving to "wine country" we thought we would have some with some apple cider!!!!!
I will miss Eden saying....

Sadie, my friend
Natalie, my friend
Max, Eliza, friend
Anna and Sarah, Phebe's friend
Scott, dad friend
Susan, mum friend

We are calling in and spending some time with them on our way back to Tassie....
cya ya in 5 months Susan....

Bridal Falls

Today we took Gary's mother to Bridal Falls which is about 15 mins down the road from where we live.. I love coming here as the water is cold because in some parts of the mountains there is still snow. Also the breeze is colder aswell so we come her to cool down..

The water is freezing, just like putting your feet in snow with nothing on......
We stayed here for a while dipping our feet in and pulling them out when they felt frozen..... and back in for more punishment..
It pretty cool that something like this is only on the other side of the mountain......

jackson hole.wy

Before and after we went to YELLOWSTONE we visited this little town called JACKSON HOLE in WYOMING.. We loved everything about this town and if we lived closer we would go back again on a regular basis.. In the middle of the town they had a park with some antlers (they looked really cool).. In a matter of fact if think every where you looked there were antlers!!!

Every night of the week they have a old fashioned "shoot out" in the middle of the town.. This was the story of a Dr who was selling a"miracle lotion" to all the town folk and of course it didn't work so they wanted their money back...
Of course there was alot of fighting and shooting going on and everyone ended up being dead...

I think Phebe is beginning to like boys.. she always wants her photo taken with them!!!!!!

There was plenty to do in around the town.. Plenty of "over priced" souvenir shops and heaps of cheap t-shirt shops..

Every street had it's own character.

It was a great start and finish with our trip with the Thuesons.

I forget to post about the "square ice cream" we had on the way to Jackson Hole..
It was yummy, Phebe had "moose tracks".......

Yellowstone

The next part of our road trip was driving through Yellowstone Park. I have been wanting to go there since I was Old Faithful on "The Amazing Race".. it wasn't long into the park when we saw some wildlife. We saw heaps of bison and elk, two black bears and nearly saw a mousse... We parked our cars and by we walked up to where you could see the mousse the ranger told us to get back in the car as the heard of Bison that we just past on the hill was now coming towards us...

Not only is the wildlife great to watch so is the nature. Plenty of water falls and streams that you can stop and have some lunch.

It is a huge park it two us 3 days to see all of it and it really helped having the Thuesons there to be our tour guides, otherwise it would have taken more than 3 days...
Old Faithful was AMAZING..... All the Geyers were fun to watch..

Had a great time and still more posts to come about the weekend....

Bar J Chuckwagon

On Saturday we headed up to Idaho to spend some time with The Thueson Family. Terra had a jam packed 4 days planned for us. After the 5hr drive up to Idaho Falls we took of and headed up to Jackson Hole,Wyoming and had a bit of a look around the town, but the main reason we headed up that way was to have dinner at BarJ Chuckwagon..

It was a dinner and a show just how they would have it on a cattle run or ranch.. you line up, choose your meal and then they have all these things to do while you are waiting for the bell to ring for dinner..
Plenty of places to take pics, they have horse rides for the kids, gift shops and homemade biscuits, which were similar to damper. They are open every summer 7 nights a week and750 people a night. The hall was packed and we didn't make a booking but the Thuesons had been there before and knew if we went earlier enough we would able to sit outside..
Dinner was great the roast beef melted in your mouth..
Because we sat outside , we got served first and of course was the first to go back for seconds..
When everyone had finished their dinner we went into the hall to see the show... It was cool listening to the old cowboys songs and they were very funny aswell.. It was a great night and loved every minute ...
After dinner it was another 2hrs back to Idaho Falls to sleep and back on the road the next day..
